city gallery opens tonight runs through July 26th

Well it is back to applications, deadlines, real life, and other work, including moving the studio and our apartment in less than two weeks...yikes! I know many of my friends live too far to come to the opening(i guess that is the disadvantage of the west coast it is not in the south). I also know many locals cannot make it to the opening, but do not fret it will be on display until July 26th. I have posted an online album and will add to it if i get other shots of the piece. the online album is here.

I am very excited to begin on the next work which will be for a group show at the redux contemporary art center at the end of July. I am planning to create some new objects and works on paper for that one so it should be an interesting project as it will be the first studio work I make in my new situation. I am very curious to see if having more outdoor working space affects what i make the way it did in the summer of 2007, although it probably won't since i tend to be a pretty even line. I almost forgot, the amazing curator erin glaze who over saw the contemporary charleston 2009:revelation of process exhibition also created a nice little full color catalog and dvd of this show(together only $15), they are available in person at the gallery, or you can email me and i will see if i can mail one out to you.
