a day in the office and some time at the studio

here is the view from my desk, on fridays , between the hours of 10am and 3pm, I hop up and down from this desk and fetch people pedestals and ladders for their exhibitions. after I left this desk I went to the hardware store and then I went to the studio and started sanding my walls to get them ready for painting tommorow. tonight though I am headed to two sets of art openings one at the works gallery
and another at a space simply called 12th and taylor, which is actually the address of the space, that's so artsy, they don't have a website so you will have to use your imagination.

had a busy day

here are my notes on modern vs post modernsome girls purse
some water bottles and thoughts on cultural pluralism

here is the structure before I finished the ceiling and the lightlet there be light
brooke pays a visit to the studio

well the life of an mfa student is a strange one, my day began with some light carpentry and wiring the results of which are viewable in the video and the pictures, and I went to a graduate mfa seminar and I have scanned my notes from today explaining the differences bewtween modern and post-modern enjoy

progress on the m.f.a. show

so the story with these rulers is that southern lumber offers you one free while you are there, so everytime I am there I make sure to get one, pretty soon I will have the whole set.

here are some more walls, today owen premore came into my studio and said "it's getting claustraphobic in here" maybe but I am feeling much more like this is actually going to happen. I still have to patch and paint the walls, but that is for a later date

M.F.A. thesis flier, finished?

video from 2004

I am really getting into this video publishing. here is a stop action movie from my first semester of grad school

been busy, but here is my retreat to candidacy show for those who missed it in may

enroute to the crusher

this is the ball of steel in it's original form. all the steel was free, a friend gave it to me so of course I just cut it up into a bunch of little pieces and welded it into a ball.

I have been busy at work installing a show but for amusement I am placing the images and video from my retreat to candidacy show that was in may. enjoy.
