Happy new year 2007

a finished batch of "hoppin john", actually just black eyed peas and rice
our new years feast, hoppin john, corn bread, and marinated chicken breast

here are the little black eyed peas soaking, they kind of look like mini martin puryear sculptures

well brooke and I rang in our new year like always...falling asleep on the couch waiting for the ball to drop. Today we made Hoppin john sans, ham hock, with corn bread and marinated chicken, a sort of new traditional southern new years meal, and it was good. Tommorow i am going to the studio for awhile, happy oh 7.
