day three @ dam stuhltrager

the view from gallery one looking through to gallery two where i am working.so, i started today determined to flesh out the direction of the piece so that i can get in a comfortable place and maybe take a break the end of the week, but we will see. it was real touch and go today, i had to mend a few snapped and strained areas along the way, but so far no major collapses or setbacks.

day three seems to be the day i hit my stride and established a good work flow. I have been listening intently to the npr feed about both hurricanes gustav and hannah and realizing that this piece has sort of an organized center to it's movement. But I really keep thinking how this one more than others feels wave like or fluid as it slowly encompasses the architecture of the room.

in the above picture you can sort of see where i will be weaving the piece around this wall and have the two sections meet on the other side.

sometimes the view from above is nice too.
