day 8 @ dam stuhltrager

Because the collapse happened so suddenly and drastically at the start of day 8 i did not get a photo of it, but after i re-set this wall area i built it out some more so there is a more complete experience when you cross around the other side of the piece. Today I will get back to work on both this far wall and the section that leads to the main gallery.

i focused on bringing this wall down a little bit hoping that it will give some more strength to this section, we will see. The humidity has given me some unusual problems since the sticks have taken on so much moisture that some of them actually flex and bend into circles and have become rubbery. This means that it becomes a little more difficult to create the tension necessary to make the piece rigid in the areas where it needs to be.

it is hard to tell but i know i have had to reset and mend this section twice now, but this time i think i have it pinned in pretty good, but i will check again in a couple of hours to see if it has shifted at all.
